Its matte black glaze is applied by hand using a honing technique that gives a rustic, natural effect, a bold contrast against light cabinets or a seamless match with dark ones.

A Generous Basin in Genuine Fireclay

The 31.375" x 18.75" bowl is 9.25" deep, wide enough for stockpots, sheet pans and roasting racks. The glaze is fired onto the fireclay for a hard, non-porous surface; Nantucket notes that it inhibits bacterial growth better than stainless steel and needs fewer cleansers.
