Why does it require a 33” cabinet for a 30” sink
Hi Elaine,
Thank you for your question.
Because cabinets are measured from the outside, you always need a slightly larger cabinet size than the size of the sink itself to accommodate the sink WITHIN the cabinet structure and an allowance for installation and plumbing. That said, you have a bit more wiggle room with a topmount sink than, say an undermount sink, since with the topmount the lip does not need to be concealed inside the cabinet.

There is conflicting information on whether a drain extension is required for a garbage disposal for this sink. It appears the disposer would be mounted 1 1/2" below the drain in the specs. We need to know this as we don't want the deep drop at the drain into the disposer. Thanks for clarifying this
