A Deep White Fireclay Undermount Sink With a Rear Drain
This is the sink I'd suggest if you want the clean white look of fireclay but your kitchen has regular cabinets. The Latoscana LUM3019W is a 30-inch single bowl that sits under the counter, with a deep bowl and the drain set toward the back.
Why Fireclay
Fireclay is clay that's shaped by hand, glazed and fired at a very high temperature, which leaves a hard, glassy surface that doesn't soak up stains, holds up to hot pans and wipes clean with dish soap. Because each sink is handmade in Italy, no two are exactly alike, and the measurements can vary slightly from one to the next.
Size and Fit
The sink is 29-1/2" wide, 19" front to back and 11" tall, with a bowl about 9-1/8" deep, so it handles big pots. The drain sits toward the back of the bowl, which keeps it out from under the dishes and leaves more room in the cabinet below. It needs a 33" cabinet.
It can go under a stone or solid-surface counter, or drop in from above. There are no faucet holes, so the faucet goes in the counter. A matching stainless steel bottom grid is available from Latoscana.

- Minimum cabinet width is 33".
- There are no faucet holes. Plan for a counter-mounted faucet.
- The 3-1/2" drain sits at the back. Strainer, disposal and grid (SSG-LUM3019) are sold separately.

Common Questions Answered
Why a rear drain?
With the drain at the back, water runs away from where you stand, dishes in the bowl don't sit on the drain, and there's more usable space under the sink for a disposal or storage.
Can it be installed with laminate counters?
Undermounting needs a solid counter like stone or quartz. With laminate, it can be installed as a drop-in instead.
Is there a smaller size?
Yes, the LUM2719W is the same sink at 26-1/2" wide for a 30" cabinet.
