A Reversible Matte Black Farmhouse Sink

The Nantucket FCFS3020S-MatteBlack from the Vineyard Collection is a 30" farmhouse sink made and hand-finished in Italy. Its matte black glaze is honed by hand for a rustic, almost leathery look. The sink is reversible: one side of the apron is fluted and the other is plain, and because the drain is centered you can install it with whichever face suits your kitchen.

Genuine Italian Fireclay

The 28" x 18" bowl is 9" deep, roomy enough for large pots and baking sheets. The glaze is fired onto the fireclay for a hard, non-porous surface that Nantucket notes inhibits bacterial growth better than stainless steel and needs fewer cleansers. Because each piece is hand-finished, no two are exactly alike.

How does the reversible apron work?

The sink is finished on both long sides. Before installation, choose whether the fluted or the plain side faces out; the centered drain lines up either way. Make the choice before your cabinet and countertop are fabricated.

What drain do I need?

The sink has a standard 3.5" center drain opening. Because fireclay is thick, an extended flange or ferrule may be needed; Nantucket lists the NS35L-EXT, 3.5EDF-MBL, 3.5EDF-BRS and 3.5EDF-ORB drains as compatible. Tighten the drain by hand. The drain is not included.
