The STEPPE Sink in Hand-Hammered Copper

Designed in collaboration with Studio Dearborn, the Nantucket STEPPE3918-HC is a two-tiered kitchen sink hand-hammered from 16-gauge copper. A full-depth basin sits beside a lowered drying platform, so you can wash in one area and rinse and air-dry in the other without dish racks crowding your countertop. The hammered copper brings warmth and texture to farmhouse, rustic and traditional kitchens alike.

A Deep Basin Beside a Built-In Drying Platform

The main bowl is 25" wide and 10" deep, with plenty of room to soak and clean large cookware and bakeware. Next to it, the 12" x 16" raised platform slopes gently toward the basin so water drains back into the sink and off your counters. A removable copper drying basket sits on the platform for rinsing produce or air-drying dishes, and lifts out when you need the full space.

Will the copper change color?

Yes. Copper is a living finish: it darkens and develops a natural patina with use, which many owners prize as part of its character. Rinse and dry the sink after use and avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners to keep the finish even.

What drain should I use?

The sink has a standard 3.5" side-set drain opening and the drain is not included. Nantucket recommends its 3.5DD-Copper or 3.5DEDF-ORB drains to coordinate with the copper finish.
