The STEPPE Sink in Smooth Copper

Designed in collaboration with Studio Dearborn, the Nantucket STEPPE3918-SMC is a two-tiered kitchen sink made from smooth 16-gauge copper in a light antique finish. A full-depth basin sits beside a lowered drying platform, so you can wash in one area and rinse and air-dry in the other without dish racks crowding your countertop. The smooth copper gives a clean, refined look with all the warmth of the metal.

A Deep Basin Beside a Built-In Drying Platform

The main bowl is 25" wide and 10" deep, with plenty of room to soak and clean large cookware and bakeware. Next to it, the 12" x 16" raised platform slopes gently toward the basin so water drains back into the sink and off your counters. A removable copper drying basket sits on the platform for rinsing produce or air-drying dishes, and lifts out when you need the full space.

Will the copper change color?

Yes. Copper is a living finish: it darkens and develops a natural patina with use. Rinse and dry the sink after use and avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners to keep the finish even.

How is this different from the hammered STEPPE?

Both share the same size, two-tier layout and copper drying basket. The STEPPE3918-SMC has a smooth surface in a light antique copper finish; the STEPPE3918-HC is hand-hammered for a textured, rustic look.
